Important payment update!
We’re changing our DEFT payment options.
From Thursday 1 October 2026, you’ll no longer be able to make payments via deft.com.au using a credit or debit card. You can continue to use the payment options shown on your invoice, including the available DEFT options below.
Need to make a payment? Your invoice shows the options available to you and the details you’ll need.
If your invoice provides a DEFT reference number, you can make a one-off payment from your bank account at deft.com.au.
If your invoice includes a DEFT reference number, you can make a fee-free payment via mobile or internet banking. Before paying, visit deft.com.au to get your PayID for DEFT. Your PayID is your DEFT reference number followed by @deft.com.au.
If your invoice provides a DEFT biller code, you may pay by mobile or internet banking using the DEFT biller code shown on your invoice. Use your DEFT reference number as the Customer Reference Number.
If your invoice or strata levy notice includes a barcode for payment at Australia Post, you can pay in-store by EFTPOS or cheque.
If your invoice includes EFT as a payment option, for example, for self-managed strata, you can pay using the Account Name, BSB and Account Number shown on your invoice. Please use the payment reference specified on your invoice so we can correctly allocate the funds to your account. For self-managed strata, this may be your Strata Plan Number.
If your invoice includes paying by cheque as an option, you can pay in-store at Australia Post using the barcode on your invoice or levy notice. You can also mail your payment slip with a cheque made payable to Whitbread Insurance Brokers to:
