Angela brings 17 years experience in insurance, financial planning and business management to her role as Chair of the Whitbread Insurance Group, which comprises the brands Whitbread Insurance Brokers, Axis Underwriting Services, Whitbread Corporate Partners and Resolute Property Protect.
With expertise in cultural change, strategic thinking, community engagement and financial management, she works with the Group's leadership teams and siblings John Paul and Claire Whitbread to set the agenda for Whitbread’s growth and success. Under her leadership the group has doubled its profitability.
At the core of her role is driving Whitbread’s commitment to being at the forefront of the insurance industry, as is embedding the business’ values across the Group and establishing a foundation for continued success.
Her strength rests in her ability to lead organisational change and create a value-led culture that fosters our people’s success.
She strives to ensure this approach is inherent in everything we do, allowing the Whitbread Insurance Group to grow as a business and create opportunities for clients.
Combining years of industry experience, with strong business acumen, Angela is passionate about finding new ways to connect with clients through value-driven service offerings and positioning Whitbread as partners in their businesses and their success. It’s this approach that she believes sets Whitbread and many Australian small businesses apart.
Angela manages her responsibilities to the Group whilst balancing her passion for eastern philosophy and philanthropy. Angela believes philanthropy and a commitment to community giving are part of the ethos of many small businesses and she is very proud of the role the Whitbread Foundation is playing in empowering communities through education to end the cycle of poverty and ill health.
Angela has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a Tier 1 Compliant Insurance Broker.
